Are you starting your own nature-based program and looking for guidance as you craft your emergency response plan? Are you currently running a program that doesn’t have an emergency response plan in place? Or, do you run a program with an emergency response plan that needs to be optimized? Then our new course, Emergency Response Preparedness for Nature-Based Programs, is for you!

In this 8-hour, self-paced workshop, co-produced by ERAFANS and Wild Med, we will take you, step-by-step, through the completion of your Emergency Response Plan. Using our signature ERP Blueprint, you will finish this course with a complete and actionable Emergency Response Plan that will help you prevent and effectively respond to emergencies.

ABOUT THE COURSE

This course utilizes an online platform, Thinkific, to guide you through the process of creating a comprehensive Emergency Response Plan. Using real-world examples and resources, you will understand the components (and implications) of a fully functional plan for your program.

Upon registering for the course, you will receive a link to join the Thinkific classroom. You will move through the course at your own pace, creating materials for your program as you go. We also welcome you to reach out with questions throughout the course and schedule a time to meet with an ERAFANS facilitator who will guide you through the process. If you would like to meet with our facilitator, please reach out to programs@erafans.org

WHO SHOULD JOIN THIS COURSE?

This course is designed for program Directors and administrators. This course is not designed for teachers and program staff to better understand an emergency response plan, but instead is geared toward the administrators who are charged with creating and disseminating the program's plan. Not sure if this course is right for you? Feel free to email our Professional Development Coordinator for further guidance.
