We need your support! ANBE offers nature-based professional development to educators and childcare providers to ensure that all children have access to nature-based education and environmental literacy. Our training helps educators deliver their curriculum while integrating nature connection, which is vital to the wellbeing for our children and our planet.
ANBE's community-based initiatives such as the Forest Days Outdoor Learning Program in Baltimore, the Seedlings Outdoor Play Group with families at local Judy Centers, and Notchcliff Nature Programs all provide outdoor nature-based learning and play directly with children.
With your support, we can expand access to the benefits of nature-based education and environmental literacy. But we can't do it alone. No matter the amount, every gift matters. Your gift will make a difference in the lives of children.
Your gift helps teachers (and children!) take learning outside. For example:
And finally, our dream teacher training center with immersive, nature-based programs for the community.
We are activity working with partners to identify a forever home in Long Green Valley, in Baltimore County, MD. Our goal is to establish a nature-based teacher training center with model programs for the community, including a lab preK-12 forest school (see Notchcliff Nature Programs), inclusive nature play spaces, reforested and preserved land, native gardens, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) plots, programs for elders, nature retreat spaces, nature art studio, and more. This destination site will welcome teachers, families, and children to experience first hand what robust nature-based education programs can do. If this is a dream you would like to help us make a reality, let’s build a foundation together!
