In the stories our students and mentees share with us, they give us glimpses of their passions, learning edges, and gifts. By offering deep listening and presence when we "catch"  these stories, we support them in feeling secure and seen, and we help them deepen their relationships with nature, others, and self.

In this experiential workshop, we'll learn and practice strategies for listening to, reflecting back, and drawing more depth out of the stories our students tell us, honoring the storyteller as well as the story, and tuning into our own senses and curiosity. Come prepared to share one or two short personal stories of an experience you've found meaningful as we explore the art of storycatching!

*Because this workshop will focus on active practice of skills learned, you will gain most from live participation.

**Please note, this webinar will be recorded and shared with registered participants who cannot attend live.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Grace Upshaw

A nature connection mentor from the Blue Ridge Mountains, Grace has found deep joy and fulfillment in her ten years of working with children and adults. She is trained in ecotherapy and guiding nature-based rites of passage, holds a B.S. in wildlife biology, and is earning an M.S. in clinical mental health counseling. For as long as she can remember, Grace has been passionate about improving how people communicate with and show up for each other. As a facilitator, educator, and guide, she supports people to become more fully themselves by connecting more deeply to each other and to the natural world.
