House Bill 525 passed in May 2023 to establish an Outdoor Preschool Licensing Pilot Program in Maryland. The pilot began July 1, 2023 with members of a statewide Stakeholder's Advisory Group working with the Maryland State Department of Education to create parameters for the launch of the pilot with outdoor preschool participants (anticipated in Fall 2024).
